Speaking with young offenders
As Platinum Chamber Members Winster were very proud to be part of the Annual Black Country festival and were delighted to use the opportunity to go and talk with young offenders.
By visiting these young offenders, Winster had the chance to help improve, social inclusion and employability skills, through offering specialist business advice, and answering any questions that they had. The group of participants were aged between 16-20 and Winster felt it was vital to give these young adults the chance to help them take steps towards getting their lives back on track and to inspire them to aim for a career, and not reoffend.
The event saw many local businesses come together and offer their advice and knowledge. Winster having spent decades establishing themselves as specialist hose suppliers, were very proud to have been given the opportunity to help inspire other people, and to show them the importance of hard work and dedication towards a goal.
Val Gardner Winster MD said “ Although the age range of the young offenders meant that it was quite tough for them to know what sort of questions to ask, I was very impressed with the group.
We thoroughly hope that we have helped influence and enlighten these young people, and have shown them that there are still plenty of opportunities to be part of a growing business, and to stay on the right path. “
